Hedged Reporting

Report 1 : "Mallya on Thursday sought an extension till April but ED officials , who did not want to be quoted, said it's unlikely the agency would give him that long."

Report 2 : "ED likely to give Mallya extension: ED is likely to give Vijay Mallya time till April for making a personal appearance before it."

Both reports have appeared in the front page of The Economic Times, one below the other. So, whatever happens, ET is right.

Vijay Mallya has tweeted:

"Let media bosses not forget help, favours,accommodation that I have provided over several years which are documented. Now lies to gain TRP ?"

He is cautioning mediapersons, bankers, politicians and perhaps judges too.  A notable example of crony capitalism.

Vijay Mallya need not come back to India. SBI has permitted him to avail future loans at its London branch.
This is real customer service. Why else should the bank have foreign branches if not to facilitate hassle-free transactions?
