It is now common knowledge that tsunamis are caused by submarine earth movement or volcanic eruption. Therefore, only quakes occuring below the sea are likely to result in tsunamis. Thus we have two kinds of earthquakes : one causing tsunamis and the other not. As of now, there is no specific name for a quake that causes a tsunami. Will it not be appropriate to christen it as a "quanami" (quake + tsunami) ?
